X Factor 2013: Union J signed to RCA and will release debut single in June & James Arthur regrets Twitter spat with Frankie Boyle!
It’s been revealed today that X Factor boy band Union J have been signed to record label RCA, as have JLS, Alexandra Burke, Aiden Grimshaw and their fellow finalist, Jahmene Douglas.
The Sun reports that Union J are now planning to release their debut single in June.
In other X Factor news, this year’s winner James Arthur has revealed that he regrets getting into a row with comedian Frankie Boyle on Twitter.
The spat came after Frankie tweeted, “James Arthur is like a cross between a tramp and a duckling.”
In what turned out to be a bitchfest, James called Frankie a “prat” and Frankie branded James an “alien-headed busker”.
However, speaking to TV Biz at Labrinth’s pre-Brits dinner, James said, “I shouldn’t have risen to it, to be honest.
“But he was taking the p*** out of us so much and you have to stick up for yourself.
“We may shake hands when we meet – either that or I’ll give him a backhander. I used to be a street fighter.”
However, James is trying to be more of a lover than a fighter where Caroline Flack – who of course hosts Xtra Factor – is concerned, and the couple were photographed leaving Labrinth’s gathering together.
But both have denied there’s any romance between them and are sticking to the “We’re just good friends” party line.
Here’s a reminder of James and Caroline on Xtra Factor…
