The X Factor final is fast approaching and ITV bosses are frantically trying to tie down some singing superstars for the two night extravaganza.
At the end of every series, as well as having the usual run of guest performers (this weekend it will be Lady Gaga and Zara Larsson), the grand finale also sees some stars taking to the stage to duet with the acts.
Some of the most memorable collaborations have come courtesy of Alexandra Burke and Beyonce and who could forget Leona Lewis with Take That or Matt Cardle and Rihanna.
Insiders say that bosses had lined up Vanilla Ice to perform with Honey G. Sadly that won’t happen now, since she was eliminated last weekend.
We don’t yet know who will be singing with Saara Aalto, 5 After Midnight or Emily Middlemas, if they make it to the final. However insiders say Matt Terry’s duet partner has been decided.
Sources say Matt will be singing with Sam Smith. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, since the pair recently had a supposedly ‘secret’ meeting.
“It’s just crazy. I had a bunch of questions to ask him about his career. It was pretty cool. He’s an artist I’ve listened to since he started and I think his career is just insane,” Matt told The Sun.
“He told me he’d heard me sing ‘I’ll Be There’, which he thought sounded good. He said to me to just keep doing what I’m doing.”
Matt is currently the favourite to win this year’s X Factor series, by far. However it seems as though Saara Aalto is beginning to creep up into his territory.
