X Factor 24/7 aired tonight on ITV2 for the first time. ITV2 say the show is basically “Cameras following the contestants’ daily lives to see how they are coping with the pressure of live performances and the ever-present fear of being voted off. Featuring previews of song rehearsals and dance routines, as well as backstage gossip.”

Tonights show saw a crisis of confidence for Chico. This was brought about by reading a tabloid headline about himself saying “Is this man the biggest waste of space on TV”. Chico, whose mood was already low after ending up in the lowest two acts last Saturday, seemed to sink even lower after reading the newspaper article, and the fact that he has a bad cold and is losing his voice is definately not helping his morale.

But Mark and Sharon are supporting their boy well. They have chosen a great song for him (”Play That Funky Music” by Wild Cherry) and are phoning and encouraging him to keep his chin up and his thoughts positive. Lets hope his mood improves for Saturdays show.
