Cheryl Cole’s X Factor choices have been criticised by singer Adele.

Speaking at the BMI music industry awards last night, she told BANG showbiz: “I do love all the boys that Cheryl picks but I think she should have picked Duane as well, the black boy.

“I thought he was amazing. I think them three boys she has all sound a little bit similar so I think she should have gone for Duane.”

The BRIT Award winner did admit that she also has a soft spot for Scottish singer Rikki Loney, after he covered her hit ‘Chasing Pavements’ in one of his auditions.

She added: “Rikki Lonely -He sang my song didn’t he? Definitely, I really like him, but I think Dannii and Simon have the strongest categories this year.”
