X Factor: Alexandra Burke Will Double Cowell’s Money!

The Daily Star Sunday reports today that Alexandra Burke “is set for a megabucks ‘Queen of Pop’ clash with Leona Lewis after last night’s X Factor win.”

The paper reports that following Alex’s breathtaking performances last night, Simon Cowell “let slip” that he’s already planning international fame and fortune for Alex and in so doing, will “double his money.”

Simon apparently revealed that he wants to put Alex and Leona up against each other in a “battle of the divas” which would make the two singers the biggest selling female artists in the world.

Simon is quoted in the paper as saying, “I think Leona has got the Mariah thing and Alex is more like Whitney, so the two can exist together. I like the idea that you will have two big British divas battling it out.”

Alex herself exclaimed at last night’s press conference: “I can’t believe it. This is a dream come true.”

And she also told how she wants to start her music career by recording a track with Cheryl Cole.

Alex told reporters that after her X Factor victory, she asked Cheryl about the possibility of their recording a song together and was delighted that Cheryl was keen to do so. Alex said, “It’d be amazing to do something with the whole of Girls Aloud.”
