X Factor Auditions 2007
UPDATE: We have hundreds of X Factor auditionees over on our forum chatting about their upcoming auditions and arranging meetups, come on over and join in if you are planning to audition this year!
In a few short months the X Factor team will be touring the UK once more looking for the next Leona Lewis or Shayne Ward.
If you would like to apply for series four of smash hit TV show, The X Factor, if you think you have star quality, then head on over to the X Factor site and download your application pack.
Auditions will be held in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and Belfast. Applicants should be 14 years and over on 1st April 2007.

The X Factor Auditions are now open to anyone 14 and over there will now be 4 categories:
14-25 Males
14-25 Females
25+
Groups
Louis and Kate have finally got the sack, and there will be 2 more judges and a new presenter. If your not 14 yet don;t worry, you will only have to be 14 on the 1st April 2007 it’s all explained on the application pack!

ive just done an audition 4 britains got talent ( simon cowells new show)nd we had 2 take a passport or some sort of proof of age so i exspect it will be the same 4 da x factor so i dnt tink you could get away with lying about your age lol hope the advice has been useful

I can’t believe that the age restriction to audition for X-factor has been lowered to fourteen!! I was sixteen last August meaning that this year would be the first time i could finally audition for the show. This annoyed me in itself because according to the new rules i could have auditioned two years ago!! Not only this though, the fact that some sixteen year olds who have actually got through the auditons in past shows have been told that they are just too young and haven’t got the maturity to cope with the show by the judges so if that is the case, why lower the age by two years!?! I think it’s ridiculous. To end my rant id like to say i love the show and i wish all the 14 and 15 year olds good luck this year… maybe i’ll see you there.

hi i completely agree with chelsea! i turned 16 last october but actually went 2 the x factor auditions with a friend last year! if these rules applied i could have auditioned 2!!!! I still think the age lowering is a bad idea because your vocal chords dont fully develop until your 16 so 14 yr olds could damage thier voices before they have a career!

i really love the xfactor and like a number of people was told i was to young. But now the age limit has been lowerd and happy about that but not had any information saying if i can adittion i would really like if they would at least tell me.It is not long unitl the adittions i mean it is killing me not knowing.I actually want to adittion because people tell me iam good at singing and people tell me iam bad so i would rather have Simion telling me the truth even if it is not what i want to hear. ps whish yous all the best.

You have until 30th March to enter so download the application now, fill it in with as much detail about yourself as possible and send it by recorded delivery. There’s no guarantee that there will be an open audition, and even if there is on that one you’re not guaranteed to be seen

Hello Amber,
You do need to apply even for the open auditions of all reality TV shows. But it is not true that the open auditions guarantee entry. For that you need a time a date a place and a city of nearest choice.
Imagine the added problem not knowing who is who if open auditions literally were open auditions, imagine the chaos caused through added paperwork on the day. It isn’t just a matter of simply leaving a name address and telephone number. The panel of producers have to be able to like you, and remember you. How are they going to do that with nothing other than a scribble on a note pad?
There are people who do auditions professionally who would stand a better chance of going through if it weren’t for the vast numbers of wanabes who think of fast tracking.

I just received my audition letter but they didn’t leave me enough time to get organised and I’ve already booked my holiday in this period and will be back 4 days later. I got my audition date back the other day, end of April at Arsenal football stadium.
I think lowering the age to 14 was a massive mistake, I really don’t think anyone under 16 could handle the X Factor. Anyway, good luck everyone who has an audition, I heard the open audition info is going to be posted soon on the website.

Guys don;t worry if you didn’t make it this year the X Factor contract was renewed for 3 more years so it will do up to series 6 if not more. And anyway when it does go off the air, I’m sure there will be another show. I auditioned 4 Britains Got Talent, when i wrung them up they said i had a crystal clear stunning voice but i didnt answer my questions well enough, so dont worry when one door closes another one opens!

Plus later on in the year they will be holding an open audition where your straight in front of the judges. ITV havn’t confirmed a day but you don’t need to apply for this one just turn up on the day!

i think 14 is to young, due to the fact if a 14 year old was to get through to the telivised stage they might get a sympathy vote because of there age making it unfair for an older person who is a better singer..

you can download an application form if you go onto the google server and type in the search bar “x factor application form”. there’s lots of different sites you can get one from if you look. thats what i did and now i just have to fill it out an post it.

okay i have not saw enny coments about the cardiff auditions…..im 1 and i recon i cod win not boastfully)its just that this is the chance i have been waiting for my whole life and im acturally teary eyed just thining about it,, just if enny1 has had there call back from cardiff i will know wether i got in or not …. pleese say that u havent bcause im shaking and i realy want this …. more than all of you up there…. i auditiond for brittens got tallent ad wasnt sucsessful….they san to manny people chose the same song ….. “TIP” dont sing somewere over the rainbow by eva casidy…..that was my downfall….i have a geat voice alot of people say it sonds like leonas…. but i dont want to be put against leona because im a performer….and she dosent perform that welll … but that into acount she is an amazing singer….. if people say you sing or look like some1 in X factor…. ont sing a of the songs .. you wannabe different unique ….to alll the people who got throug…. wellldone…..and 2 all that diddnt remember this issnt the end… you can do whatever yho0o0o set ur heart on (unless ur rely bad)…. and to every1 who has done ther audition was it scary ???? welll….. i realy would love 2 know…. e-mail me or add me on pageedenchristie.co.uk

Don’t bother with X Factor - the queues are just so long. I went last year and didn’t even get seen. I’m going to these auditions instead - I have a friend with record indusrty contacts and she’s heard a really big producer is behind this but remaining annoymous - check out the site

hey its meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! again …. i went 2 the open auditetions (diddnt get through)… if enny1 who went 2 x factor open auditions …. am i beeng stupid and nieve or did the treet us badly … 13 hours i was there 4 …. my mum got well angry with thex factor teem…. and then 2 top that off i had a chest infetion ….. it was raining then it was sunny….. omg!!! i just neva wannna go 2 an open audition again …. and heres a tip … if your feeelin under the wethere dont go …. cause …. when they turn you down (ie voice keeps breaking up) all your hard work would of amounted 2 tonthing …. and my mum got pick poketed in london just 2 let you all know ….so i would say that …… x factor was the wors audition / day of my life !!!! ~paige~

Why do people want try out the x factor. It all a fix can’t people see that. The show may be entertaining by it does’ny produce long lasting or important artist look at steve brookstein.If you want to be a singer there are other ways to promto yourself,not by enter any tv reality show.

Oh listen to u mr williams get off your soap box n get a grip do u not think that sum people may go on things like this 4 a bit of fun? So what if you dnt become a world wide super star sum people would jst enjoy the taking part!! Yes your rite there are other ways of exposing urself but for sum thats not an option and the though of performing on a weekly basis on tv is exposure enuf. It takes sum people a lot of courage to go on shows like these knowing that they can get put dwn infront of millions of viewers sum people who havent even sang in public before so jst remember that!!
Look at girls aloud they came from the same format… a reality tv show and they are now international super stars or did u 4get that? Yes thot as much!!

I totally agree with shorty williams. Why do people bother waste there time apparticipating on the x factor. People don’t realise the that winners and rnners ups are given very controlled contracts and are held on to tigthly controlled carees.The x factor is just another way for simon and the other judges to make money.In the end it won’t do apiring artists any good especially in the long run because they never last.

Awouldnt even waste my time sorry to say but its a joke only interested in gettin good ratings 1 went 2 my audition got a good interview but the tv producers are a joke a granny with an army print outfit who quite clearly coukldnt sing got put through. The amount of talenmt i heard was amazing jst sorry 2 say none of them got put through.
Its a farce and if it was a “talent show” then they wld put htrough ppl with talent not ppl who make a fool of themseleves.

heyy…. me and my friends are sooo gutted we have dreamed about going on the x factor at this age n they have finally lowered the age limit to 14 yrs n ova and they arent even coming to newcastle to give us a shot…… apparently the auditions have already happened
