X Factor Beats Strictly Come Dancing Once Again!

Not only did the X Factor walk away with a National Television Award for best entertainment show this week but Strictly Come Dancing also lost out to the X Factor in the ratings battle once more this Saturday night.

X Factor averaged 8.2 million viewers throughout its show and peaked at 9.2 million, while Strictly Come Dancing averaged at 7.6 million and the figure actually dropped to 6.9 million for its result show which saw Gloria Hunniford being voted out.

    Sorry I cannot comment about your 2005 Viewer ratings, but I do believe SCD generally had bigger audiences than X-Factor last year (as a series).

    But what is guaranteed is big prime time television viewing figures. Strictly Come Dancing’s average weekly rating has been above eight and a half million viewers, with up to 10 million expected to tune in for the final on Saturday. It has consistently beaten The X Factor on ITV, the final of which was broadcast last night, and it is well ahead of the BBC1 talent show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? which brought in a comparatively meagre six million viewers per show.
