X Factor: Ben Mills Secret
The X Factor finalist Ben Mills has admitted to being a reformed drug addict.
26-year-old Ben, who is currently favourite to win the show, also told The Daily Mirror how he has taken ecstasy, cannabis, speed and acid, but has been clean for seven months after having had counselling. Ben struggled with his addiction while travelling with his band Benzego.
He said: “Rock and roll and the drugs that came with it are my past - but singing is my big passion in life and X Factor is my future.”
The X Factor producers were reportedly made aware of his history from the start of the show.
A source told the Mirror: “She [Sharon Osbourne] will support him. Her children Jack and Kelly have both been in rehab with drug problems so she understands what he has been through.”

im so gald ben has been clean for so long now he is my fav he has an amazin voice and its good he was in sharons catogry coz she is prob the only one (out of the three judges) who can appreciate a proper rock voice like bens plus he is soooooo hot !!!!!!!!!!1

This guy deserves to win i hav’nt heard a voice that good in years go for it ben you give me goosebumps when you sing thats a damn good sign ,and good look on the keeping clean hun hard work but u can do it . xx

i know ben and his mum barbara, who is a fellow school teacher of mine and he has been remarkable in the way he has continued to stay clean. Ben is a really nice and loving guy. He has done marvels with his company in charing kent and he deserves to have some good luck.
He is a wonderfull son brother and uncle, and above all a friend.
I am now disabled and unable to work and I sit and wish him well and watching him perform makes me feel so much better. Ben………. go matey and make all of Ashford proud. o and by the way another previous member from x came from ashford, who was in a band with simon cowell,,, who I might add used to live in Smarden nr Ashford and has a nephew who attends the local grammar school in ashford. Anyway the guy from the group formed was black and he and girls aloud were fromed at the same time so think about it and work it out.

I am sure BEN will do well and may even win X factor,the themed weeks dont always work for him,An ABBA song is beyond belief, but sadly and I admit I am in a minority but HE didn’t do ‘SMILE’well,I prefer it gentle it isn’t a song to do dramatics with, NAT KING COLE and PETULA CLARK show how it should be done with class,it doesn’t need shouting in it. BEN has massive talent though,no doubt, more for a rock sound however.ROD Newcastle.

I have been voting for Ben from the off. I think he is a fantastic singer/performer. His former drug habits do not influence my future vote in any way. Drugs seem to go hand in hand with many people today. To his great credit he has confronted his demons and I really wish him all the best. It takes great courage to go through rehab and he deserves some reward now. Good luck Ben.

ben is a true unique talent in a competition full of voices that have all been heard before.
He brings something new to the music industry and for that he should win!
i’ve supported him from the off and will continue to do so!

ben i think u are fantastic. if simon had voted you out on saturday i vowed not to watch the show. there are others in the contest who should have been through out a long time ago. keep going u will make it big.

I am a 60 year old grandmother, and i have been voting for Ben for weeks…he as the best voice (and is good looking too)and someone like him only comes along very rarely…i do not think i will watch now he as left..he should have won the X factor, but to be voted out and Ray left in the final is so unbelievable. I hope he soon signs a recording contract…it’ll be a number one.

Didn’t watch the final when he was voted out because Ben’s singing was the only thing keeping me in on saturday nights. (still, glad Leona won because she’s got an awesome voice too)

I hope this record deal of Bens is the real deal,I can’t wait to buy his album,apparently, he has 7 of his own songs on it.Ben IMO is the real X Factor
