X Factor, Big Brother & Britain’s Got Talent are most complained about TV shows

Media regulator OFCOM have today revealed that ITV’s The X Factor is the most complained about show in the UK. The Guardian also reports that complaints are on the rise overall, with the number more than doubling over the past four years.
The X Factor has so far incurred 5,975 complaints, 4,000 of which were about Dannii Minogue after she commented on the sexuality of singer Danyl Johnson.
Big Brother 10 came in second place after prompting 1,154 complaints, followed by Britain’s Got Talent with 708, and Celebrity Big Brother with 428.
The most complained about incident ever was of course the Celebrity Big Brother race row between Shilpa Shetty and the late Jade Goody. It prompted 45,159 calls and emails in 2007 – the highest number since Ofcom’s creation five years ago –
