JLS from London
Aston Merrygold (20), Jonathan Gill (21), Oritse Williams (21) and Marvin Humes (23).
Ortise is the founding member of the group and put the boys together after being encouraged by his friends and family. Since forming the boys have practised really hard together and rehearse up to five times a week and play regular gigs in pubs and clubs and even won best Unsigned act 2007 at Urban Music Awards.

JLS should not be in the x factor.
They are a four-part vocal group so they should not need the help of male session singers. On Disco week they were singing to a backing track which led the viewer to believe it was them singing all the vocals. I have been in the recording business for several years and I could see (right away) what was going on, but someone without studio experience would have watched their performance and thought they were good. I hate it when someone tries to pull the wool of the viewers eyes. The only live vocal you could hear was the lead. The other three were miming to the backing track.
The part of the song where the base solo comes in was not the vocals of JLS, it made me sick that they tried to make it look like it was. On ITV 2 the presenter tuned to one of JLS (don’t know his name) and said that she never realised he could sing so low, the poor chap didn’t know where to look as he was obviously embarrassed because he knew he was miming.
Its funny how Simon on big band night gave them something like 8 out of 10 for their performance and 4 out of 10 for their vocals, and low and behold on Disco week they were singing with the level of their mikes down really low so you could only hear the lead vocal and the prerecorded vocals on the track.
JLS should be ashamed of themselves!!!
The truth is I have never heard them sing a whole song in tune, I liked them, but now having witnessed the dirty trick of the pre recorded backing track I no longer have any respect for them. Walsh must be really desperate to stay in the competition.
Its a true joke that a truly great singer like Austin is out of the competition and JLS, Daniel Evans, Eoghan Quigg, and (chip on her shoulder) Rachel Hylton are still in.

Er, To that guy slating JLS. Rachel Hylton has backing signers every week. Hmm…I think JLS must have had bacvking vocals about once. Why don’t you enter and see how far you get. It’s that Diana that needs to go. Screaming at a bonfire on Wednesday “sick” on Saturday, pretending to be all hippie and acting like a seven year old waving her hands about. At least JLS can sing a range of songs. They are a vocal harmony group. How the f*ck could they have mimed. They were excellent at audtions so how is that miming. Oh and on One Sweet Day three of them did solos so you should just hush’d up. If you’re in the music busiisness, then you should know that there is a place in the music industry for JLS. Oh and as for miming, excuse me, Cheryl and Girls Aloud mime all the time so shut up, seriously.

Have you considered that maybe one of his parents isnt the biological parent, adoption, or different skin pigmentations?
I think they put on a good show, but I dont think they have the best voices to be honest, but that doesnt matter anymore with recording studios etc. Plus, with longer trainig im sure they will do well. Whatever happens, I think they will be around for a long time, plus they’re such nice lads too.
I personally think that if Louis wasnt so bitter, then his acts would do much better. I hope they dont get voted out because of him, unfortunatley, I think this will be the case

why would anyone in their right minds think the boys have been miming at any point in time? u think the other competetors would agree to sing live and be voted off while others mimed and were voted through? Do some people even stop and think before they write in? The so called experts who have written in about jls miming are crazy to say the least. I hope u r successful which i doubt coz you would not have time to write crap. Go Jls, all you boys are a good force together and that’s what is so attractive about you. I was heart broken when jls did not win on saturday because it was the first time i ever voted and supported anyone on x factor. Jls made it special and i just wish them the best ever success. U will have ups and downs but u will only be successful if you pick yourselves up whenever you fall and allow yourselves to feel whatever pain comes your way and get through it together as a group.
