X Factor Bootcamp Show One: Who Stood Out For You?
Tonight finally saw the end of the normal X Factor audition shows and we were treated to the first bootcamp show of the series. Its only two more weeks until the live shows kick off, but who stood out for you tonight enough to make it there?
Here’s a list of my favourites…..let me know if you agree.
First up was Joelle Moses. She sang Fly Me To The Moon, and though Simon tried to stop her after one verse, Joelle asked if she could finish the song. The judges loved it and Simon liked that they got to hear the end part.
Eoghan quigg is a bit of a Michael Buble fan and sang Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars. Cheryl wanted to squeeze him and Simon loved him. Apparently Eoghan is already getting mobbed by his Irish neighbours, I think he has all the makings of a star!
Austin Drage sang a slowed down kind of funky version of Valerie, he displayed a great voice and vibrant personality. Crying, Cheryl said “you are a natural born performer”, Simon loved it. Austin has almost made it in the music industry before, maybe this will be the making of him…..
Daniel Evans will be remembered as the dad whose wife died last year and urged him to enter the show before she passed away. At first I was quite sceptical about Danny and thought it was all about his sob story, but after hearing him sing tonight I was really blown away. The man can certainly sing!
One of the best groups I have seen this year on X Factor have been JLS. They are a reminder of the old Motwon days and the boys vocal harmonies are spot on. They got through to the second stage of bootcamp tonight, so fingers crossed we see them on the lives shows!
I was blew away by Laura White’s first audition, even though she was illwas ill during 1st audition, and tonight, in full healt Laura was nothing short of amazing. She has a bit of the Amy Winehouse in her and is very quirky and a bit different.
Alexandra Burke first showed up on X Factor 2005, but failed to get past the stage of Louis house. I actually think that its a good thing she didn’t get through then as that three years have lent her a more mature quality to her voice and performancer which really make her stand out from the crowd. Whilst listening to her sing the judges seemed spellbound. They all raved about her and thankfully she got through to the second stage of bootcamp. I would be surprised if she doesn’t make it through to the final twelve.
Rachel Hylton can sing, but I don’t like her attitude. Tonight she made the piano player stop and start slower, and when she restarted it sounded like a really bad slow reggae version of the song. I was surprised that most of the judges praised Rachel as I didn’t see much good about her performance, however Simon spoke some sense when he told her to be more careful about what songs she chooses and what arrangement she puts together. Rachel almost got herself kicked out by arguing and objecting and making herself look seriously high maintenance. I think she seems like more trouble than she’s worth! But then maybe I’ve been influenced by the recent stories in the press about the girl.
So who did you like tonight, more importantly who did you hate? You can pop over to our forum and chat with us there or as always leave a comment below!

My favourites after tonight are are Eughan Quigg, Alexandra Burke and JLS. I also do not like Rachels attitude and I did not think she had improved like a lot of the others, she acted like a bit of a Diva.
For me Austen Drage stood out. H e has a fantastic voice and shows feeling. He is not scared to show his emotions and is a genuine guy. I chose him as my winner from the 1 st set of auditions, and i hope he wins.
