X factor bosses have spoken up to defend one of the shows judges, Sharon Osbourne. Yesterday, Sharon’s brother sold a story to a Sunday newspaper, and revealed that Sharon had tried to sabotage last years series of the show.

However, an X Factor spokeswoman told the Daily Star: “These claims are ridiculous. Sharon has never been sacked from the show and the fact that she’s now back for a fourth series speaks for itself.

“It’s no secret that Ben and Sharon disagreed over song choices but no way did she try to sabotage the show.”

With brothers like that, who needs enemies…eh?
