Peter Andre recently claimed that he turned down a judging role on the Australian X Factor series, however bosses on the show have denied that an offer was ever made.

A spokesman for Cowell’s production company Syco, which produces the hit series with FremantleMedia and Talkback Thames, told the Daily Star: “Peter Andre has never been offered any role on The X Factor in any country.”

However, Andre’s manager Clarie Powell insists that Peter was asked to take part in the singing show.

She said: “We had an email into our office about three weeks ago.

“It came from Fremantle, who co- produce The X Factor, asking whether Peter would be involved in Australia’s edition. We had a serious discussion about it.

“Why on Earth would Peter or any of us make that up?”

A spokesman said: “Simon Cowell has no idea that Peter Andre is claiming he was offered a judge’s job.”
