X Factor Bosses To Replace Kate Thornton
X FACTOR bosses have approached top showbiz agents in a bid to replace host Kate Thornton.
It is rumoured that they have compiled a list of presenters to take over from Kate in next years series.
Included on the list is Fearne Cotton and Dermot O’Leary, who has recently moved to the BBC.
Last night, a source said: “Kate is a lovely girl but the feeling is they want to send the fourth series show into the stratosphere.
“It’s one of Britain’s top rated shows and bosses are constantly looking for ways to revamp the format.
“Replacing Kate is one of the options for the next series.�
Last night, an X Factor spokeswoman said: “Kate is a fantastic presenter and we’re in the middle of an incredibly successful third series.
“Her talent in running a major live studio show is unprecedented and we look forward to continuing to work with her.�
Dermot O’Leary’s agent, however, was staying tight-lipped.

I no longer watch the show, I was a fan in the days of Will Young et al and thought Kate was excellent then. However the show has passed it’s sell by date and has become a boring circus to showcase the egos of the judges whose predictable and tiresome remarks have become monotonous. Dermot O’ Leary has evolved into a prematurely middle-aged man, he lacks the charisma and enthusiasm needed to inject the show with some much needed energy.
Probably KATE has ruffled the smug SIMON’S feathers so he wants someone who will just jump at his suggestions and hang on his every word like BEN SHEPHARD who has become the judges poodle.Kate shows her sadness at times when Simon is his usual caustic,insulting and unneccessarily nasty best.Its sad but for me the judges shouldnt decide who goes home, the public vote and MUST VOTE A LAST PLACE so the choice is made,Mr KNOW IT ALL Simon shouldnt get the final say and please spare us the tantrums of Mrs. O.As the previous message said the show has run its course but its ruin has been brought about quicker by SMUG SIMON THE UNCOMPROMISING except for GETTING ALL HIS OWN WAY.Rod, Newcastle.

I think that X Factor is by far better than Pop Idol, Pop Stars, American Idol Etc. Simon and Sharon make the show, however I never liked Lewis Walsh. I found him irritating. I’m glad X Factor bosses are thinking of Dermot O’Leary to be the next host, as I find him funny and very entertaining. I think this change is a great idea and I’m looking forwarded to X Factor more than ever now. P.S – I think X Factor should have Paula Abdul as one of the Judges.
Oh please, PAULA ABDUL is pathetic and was a waste of time guesting on the auditions last year, I dont think she made one constructive comment. This new doesn’t surprise me as to Kate and Louis. Lous has stood against Simon lot in the last 2 series and from Simons looks last year had way overstepped the mark.Kate isn’t one of Simons YES SIR people and it was said moves were on to get her off during last years X factor. I think the credibility of x factor is well dented now with the phone mess and overcharging and the way the SHOW has TO BE TOTALLY set TO the whims and dictation of the one Simon Cowell whose head is now so big HE believes he is do anything and con anyone how he may wish to.
Once the format of the show is changed then shows suffer eventually,Frankly the only way to save x factor is for a true inspectable phone system and have independent judges, not those who mentor the acts in the finals. Rod.
