X Factor: Brian Friedman confirms Cher Lloyd’s strop
X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman has admitted that Cher Lloyd did throw a bit of a hissy fit at yesterday’s dress rehearsal.
It had previously been reported that Cher stormed off stage and squared up to a camera woman, after getting flustered and upset by one of her songs for tonight’s semi final show.
Speaking about the incident on The Xtra Factor, American dance expert Brian Friedman said:
She had a little bit of a meltdown. I don’t know why it happened, I think it had something to do with the song, she wasn’t used to the intro, she hadn’t heard it before she got onstage. So she had a bit of a moment and she had some tears and had to step away and Cheryl and her had a pow wow and she came back and she was magical.
He added:
I can’t be mad at her, she had to go through it and she’s 17 years old.
I think age has a lot to do with it. I know at 17 I was feeling different than I do now. You have a lot of insecurities and things you have to overcome and to overcome them in front of this many people is a lot to do so I’ll give her her tantrum.
Cher wowed most of the judging panel with her two hip hop themed performances tonight. Dannii Minogue did admit that she would have liked to hear her sing one ballad, but after her final song ‘Love The Way You Lie,’ Simon Cowell raved:
It was a risk taking on Eminem and Rihanna but for me it worked. Again, I don’t think that you’ve sold out. You’ve stuck to the type of music that you believe in and are passionate about. There weren’t really any gimmicks, other than the fire and I liked the fact that it was you, raw, doing what you do best. I’m a huge fan, you know that.

The girl will be a trainwreck very soon after should she win. Great role model for the young with her disrspectful attitude.
Can you really see her being the face of British music – hopefully Cheryl will adopt her and take her to the USA and that will be the end of her -and Cheryl hopefully.

Rebeca had the best vocals tonight but can only sing (ok now she can walk in a straight line as well big deal). Plenty of people out there watching the show who can only sing, sing much better than her. It would be a shame if she won and even worse if she deserved to win.
Basically I think if the final comes and Rebeca is the deserving winner without revolutionizing her performance then thats the beginning of a downward slide for ratings.
Why does Rebecca have to revolutionize her performance when others like Cher are only willing to rap? Tonight she has proven that she deserves to win. Hopefully viewers get behind her and give her deserving votes. Besides,I haven’t heard any rumors of her throwing tantrums or refusing to cooperate with the x factor staff. I am only able to see her on you tube and she’s won me over with her charm and singing.
There is no doubt whatsoever that Rebecca is a truly beautiful singer with a superb voice and a modest and genuine personality to match. Music is about more than rapping, looking funky and and being able to dance. The boys are sweet, good to look at and entertaining, but the sound like so many other manufactured bands. Rebecca ticks not just one box, but all of them and we all know she deserves to win, so please please vote honestly and fairly and give the best singer the chance she needs. Wish I could vote but am in another country.

honestly, i don’t think cher could win this cause i believe there are more matt and rebecca’s supporters out there. but either she wins or loses, she’s still gonna be big. i have faith in her. and if it’s true she was a bully back then, i hope she has learned her lesson now.
I’m not falling for the “I might come off as a tough cookie but really I’m just a scared young girl…I have much to learn…I have a dream…” bull. When someone is shy and humbled by something they don’t have to repeat it all the time. Being 17 is not an excuse for being an ungrateful brat. She has talent, but her singing does not compare to that of many of the other contestants on the show. Sadly, it is people like her who end up becoming successful in life. In my opinion, she doesn’t deserve to win.

i wonder how come none of the judges say anything about her cocky attitude. I remember last year the judges keep criticism Danyl Johhson how cocky he is. They should tell Cher the same thing. If they think she is too young to take criticism and have to take care how she feel then she is not ready to the show business. She can’t expect everybody like her. She is not everybody cut of tea. personally i think Cher has very little talent. yes poor her she’s been cyber bullied but so have many many people, now that shes on TV it seems a big thing, i mean yes bullying is but who cares? i dont like her personality (of which she has little), she wears far to much make up which isnt much of a role model to people my age (im 15). shes just so overrated.
Cher was a bully… FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!! my neighbour’s daughter was bullied by CHER… why do you think on cher’s home coming she had to go to an infant school to preform? She was’t allowed anywhere near her high school. How bad was the turn out for her in Malvern? laughable really a hand full of people compared to the rest of the contestants. we are ashamed she came from Worcestershire. She has to now look back and learn from this, people can change when they realise how they are pre sieved and own up to hurting others and say sorry!!!! try to make good what you have done so wrong. She has a terrible out look on life. I hope for her sake she see the light. To make it in this life you have to be good on the inside as well as the outside, at this moment in time she is neither . I can only hope she changes for her own sake.
