X Factor: Cheryl Cole defends ‘outrageous’ and ‘eccentric’ Katie Waissel
X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has defended Katie Waissel, saying that public haven’t got to know her yet.
In an interview with X Magazine, the ‘Promise This’ singer admitted that she doesn’t understand why people think it was Katie who put Gamu Nhengu out of the competition and why they think she doesn’t deserve her place on the ITV show.
Cheryl said:
I think, for some reason, and I dont know why, people have got into their heads that Katies the one that shouldn’t be here. And I really think she should.
She is different to what we know. She is eccentric. Shes a bit outrageous. But shes not boring. She looks and acts like a star. Think about what shes going through. Imagine that was you people were talking about. Shes new to the business, shes new to the industry, she doesn’t know how that feels. She feels hated.
Katie’s friend also revealed that the 24 year old singer doesn’t just feel hated by the British public, but she is also being shunned by her fellow contestants.
The pal told Star magazine:
“Katie is gutted that she has somehow made enemies of a lot of the other contestants in the house. She knew she was not popular with general public, but this is very different. She keeps saying: ‘I can’t believe even the other acts hate me. What have I done to deserve this? I can’t take this anymore.’

Look,,katie is in the house because of cheating and thats that. There are other factors for her not being liked such as….lies….being false……not being able to sing…the list goes on. Xfactor has lost all credibility, its not about giving an unknown a chance its about the ratings and who YOU pick, NOT the general public. Katie was known to them, had a record deal,etc etc WHAT A FAKE
I dont the reason that people hate Katie for Gamu been given the boot off the show. The reason was Katie never sang her song nor did Cher where’s Gamu did and in my book it stinks. Watch this space Gamu will go far and Katie wont unless it is one big fiddle with the votes.

The reason Katie is on the show and not Gamu is because they couldnt risk taking Gamu on the show because incase she got deported half way throught ( and they were right, she has been deported )! Cher had a sore throuat on the day but she is a really good singer. I think they should have taken on Tracey instead of Katie though. Katie should have been the wild card. One Direction all the way. Aiden is hottttt !
Can I just remind you Daniel Pierce from One True Voice went thro the auditions and no one kicked off because it was his 2nd chance… So why cant Katy
some people just envy you cheryl like what they did to micheal jackson. When he died they realised he was a great legend.
cheryl tweedy should just fade into oblivion and take those two non talents (katie and cher) with her.

How can Cheryl Cole say that she is new to the music business. The evidence is out there. The producers have even went as far as buying her out of her music contract with another company. This is the reason why I believe she shouldn’t be on this show. She is WELL KNOWN in the music business.
Katie getting through this week is a FIDDLE!!! Louie really shoud have used his head instead of his heart, katie plays on people feeling sorry for her and he did just that. WHAT A FIDDLE.
