Cheryl Cole has sparked a flurry of rumours this weekend, by appearing on The X Factor minus her wedding ring.

Cheryl plans her outfits each week down to the very minute detail, one would find it hard to believe that she simply forgot to wear her ring for two days running.

Cheryl onlyrecently began wearing the £160,000 diamond ring, which her footballer husband Ashley Cole bought her to replace her wedding ring in September, after it spent nine months in her drawer following last year’s affair scandal. On Saturday night an X Factor source claimed that Cheryl forgot to put the ring back on after washing her hands, what then happened on Sunday?
