Cheryl Cole has admitted that she and Rihanna are still hoping to collaborate on a single later this year.

The X Factor judge introduced the ‘What’s My Name’ singer as her ‘girl crush’ at this week’s Brit Awards and speaking afterwards on ITV2 she revealed that they both want to work together on a musical project. She said:

“I’d love to do a record with her. She feels the same.

“There could be wheels, there could be motions. We’ll see.”

She added:

“Rihanna was smokin’ hot. I love her, she was the performance highlight. I love her, she loves us back.”

The Girls Aloud star also teased her third solo album, which she will start work on very soon, and admitted that she wants to pump it full of collaborations. Cheryl told The Razz:

“I really want to get into the studio and focus properly on doing something different and more edgy.

“I want to work with everyone at the moment. Music is great right now.”
