X Factor: Cheryl Cole wears silver mermaid Julian McDonald dress

Last night another X Factor show, another fashion success for Mrs Cheryl Cole. After topping the music charts with her debut solo single, she went one step further towards becoming the best dressed woman in the UK.
On the show, Cheryl emerged in a power-shoulder mermaid silver micro-mini dress by Julian McDonald. Not surprising, given that her military themed outfit the week before was also by the Welsh designer.
McDonald says Cole is a ‘pleasure’ to dress. He told Vogue.com: ‘I’ve been working with Cheryl for a long time, she’s attended my shows and we’ve formed a friendship. She’s an amazing style ambassador – a working, modern, down-to-earth woman. It’s a pleasure to dress her’.
‘I never know what she’s going to wear until I see it on screen. She is her own stylist and controls what she wears. She’s a beautiful woman and always looks amazing. She’s a joy to dress.’
