17 year old student Demi Cullum from Walsall made her X Factor debut tonight and she wasn’t half bad.

She told the judges:

“Singing is all I really want to do, I can’t do a nine to five job, I can’t sit at a desk and work – I have to be up and performing.”

“The X Factor means everything to me, it means the whole world to me.”

Cheryl: “It’s nice to see someone with a bit of excitement and energy.”

Demi: “This is my dream…to be recognised world wide and to just see people smile and hear them sing the lyrics back to me.”

She sang Saving All My Love For You by Whitney and she was so visibly nervous. The judges seemed upset to have to tell her no, Cheryl Cole even hugged her, but in the end her cute wee voice just wasn’t good enough.
