X Factor: Daniel Evans Hits Back At Critics
X Factor contestant, Daniel Evans has hit back at newspapers that claimed her was neglecting his one year old daughter by moving into the X Factor mansion.
The X Factor website quotes Daniel as saying:
"After the first live show I was really down and I was like, what on earth am I doing here, I should be at home".
"And still, every day I am here I wonder if I should be with her – but I really believe I am here for the greater good. It’s very important to me".
Danny added, "The longer I stay in the competition, the more chance I have of earning my living as a singer afterwards.
"The truth is, I only have two months of mortgage money left. And I have to find a way to keep paying the bills”
"There is no benefits system where I live in Spain. So I could stay with my daughter now and in two months we’ll be homeless together, or I could come back to England and we’d be on benefits or on the street.
"I’d like to ask the people who criticise me, is that what they prefer I do?
"I’m getting on a bit and the only tool I have is my voice.
"I’m trying to pay the bills, not chase an unobtainable dream".

Good luck to you Dan.
Don’t worry all the critics do is select someone each week the competition runs. There will be lots out there to condemn you.
BTW Spain is part of Europe, Benefits can be paid abroad as long as you are in Europe. That’s how Britains wealthy pensioners manage when they move the only thing that doesn’t appear to be covered is NHS health services.

What a load of rubbish. You can claim benefits in Spain as it is part of the EU. Also you would never be homeless or on the streets with a child, you would be a priority for council housing. This guy is always looking for the sympathy vote. X Factor should be about talent. He doesn’t deserve to win it anymore than anyone else.
I am a resident here in Spain and would like to point out to the charming Marie, that actually you can not claim benefits here unless you have paid in to the social security system for a period of time. State housing is practically non existent and Daniel would certainly not be given priority. Although Daniel is not my favourite in the competition, I can not believe how cruel people can be to him. Give him a break….
i think daniel is very brave and inspirational why should he not have a go. he is talented and motivated. i think his daughter will be so proud of him when she is older and his wife had her wish to see him on there give he guy a break, he’s lovely!!!!
