X factor judge, Dannii Minogue is really not having a good week. First her last remaining act (Ruth Lorenzo) was booted off the ITV talent show and now it has emerged that she has split with her boyfriend Kris Smith.

Dannii is said to have dumped the rugby player after a four month relationship as she was fed up of fighting with him.

"She is upset but says she has done the right thing by ending her relationship," a friend told The Mirror.

"She’s [spent] a lot of time looking after her contestant Ruth Lorenzo and then trying to get on with her fellow judges. The last thing she needs is to be stressed by a relationship."

The insider claimed that Minogue is looking forward to this years X factor series ending so she can get a break from the pressure of it all. They said: "She hopes to have a long holiday to recharge her batteries, and she may return to Oz to spend time with her family."
