X Factor judge, Dannii Minogue claims that she has become a victim of bad editing on the show and says that the full picture of the judges relationships is never shown.

“We all know there is little reality in reality TV. The producers want to make the most dramatic and best show they can,” Minogue told the Daily Star Sunday. “At the audition stage it was edited so Cheryl and I never said a word to each other, but that wasn’t the case.

“It has been an incredibly tough year and I haven’t ever known anything like it. But despite what everyone says, Cheryl and I actually get on great. She gave me a big hug last week after Ruth [Lorenzo] was voted off. And she has been so supportive of me in the last few weeks. Nobody ever reports that though, instead everyone makes out we can’t stand each other.”

Minogue says that she thinks she gets on with Cheryl as they share similar attitudes to their acts.

“It does hurt not having any acts left because I’m one of the few mentors who actually spends any time with my acts,” she explained.

“Cheryl and I are a lot more sensitive about how our acts feel because we are performers ourselves. We know what they are going through and how hard it can be. Simon and Louis come from more of a managers’ background and prefer to mentor from afar.”
