X Factor sources have insisted that Dannii Minogue won’t be sacked over her comments to Danyl Johnson.

After Danyl sang on Saturday night Minogue commented: “If we’re to believe everything we read in the papers, there was no need to change the gender references.”

The Daily Star reports that a survey of 3,000 viewers carried out by website Onepoll found that 82% of participants want Dannii sacked from the show.

A show spokesman commented: “As far as we are concerned, the matter is closed. Dannii will not be sacked.”

Johnson added: “We are completely cool about it and chatted after the show. I wasn’t upset.”

  2. Trudy says:

I think people are over reacting over this, did these people bother listening to what Danni and Danyl had to say on the Sunday? Are they also the Sharon Osbourne fans that were not bothered by the appalling and unprofessional way that Sharon bullied and treated Danni on the show and when Sharon appeared on the Graham Norton Show. It is ridiculous to want her sacked talk about over reacting.

  3. Neil says:

He started it by taling to the papers to up his publicity and make a quick bit of cash. Why is she any worse for mentioning it when he’s already given interviews about it. If he didn’t want it raising, he should have kept this issue out of a talent contest. Louis was spot on, he is overconfident and up himself.
