X Factor: Danyl Johnson couldn’t hear the music
Danyl Johnson has explained his awful performance on Saturday night, saying that he couldn’t hear the music at the start of his song.
Danyl, who was visibly upset after he performed on Rock Week, said that a last minute key change and very low backing music led to his downfall on the show.
The Mirror quote Danyl as saying: “I couldn’t hear the music in the beginning at all. I couldn’t hear a single word.
“I just couldn’t find where I was in the song and they changed the key and stuff so I was just lost between two keys. I just didn’t know where to go. I’m really upset.

Sod off peter, it should be fairly clear from the first three weeks that he still undoubtedly has the best voice in the competition. Don’t hate him because he’s talented.

I knew that something happened. He was great for the beginning and last saturday we wasn’t good. He is the best singer in the competition. He is really talented.
AND he is not cocky ! Can’t wait to see him this week.
Neither could a lot of the other acts either but I do not hear them going on about it making excuses, plus if he is so good and professional he should have been able to do it without hearing the music properly at the beginning, he would have rehearsed it often enough.
Not everyone is going to think Danyl has a wonderful voice or is the best in the competition I definately don’t. Some people will like different from me and everyone should be allowed to voice their comments as long as it’s done without offense or attacking people because their view is different like on some of the blogs. A friendly discussion is much more productive that being rude and name calling, if everyone liked the same act it would not be a competition and would be boring.
Excuses, excuses – if he couldn’t hear “a sinlge word” how did he know when to start? Plus he always fails to be pitch perfect during all of his performances, this is not the first time e.g. beginning of “I Gotta Feeling” – did he not hear the track then either? Nonsense.
One of the worst singers in the comp! Hope he’s gone soon!
