X Factor: Danyl Johnson had a nervous breakdown
A former boss of X Factor singer Danyl Johnson, has told The News Of The World that Danyl had a nervous breakdown when a boyband he was in broke up.
Paige Bond claims that Danyl is not over-confident and cocky, but that he wants success so badly that it consumes him.
Bond managed Johnson’s band NV, which was intended to rival boybands like Blue in the mid 90’s. However rows over lead vocals resulted in the band breaking up.
Paige revealed:
“Danyl fell apart. He could barely speak to us after the band split up, other than to say he’d had a nervous breakdown and been to the doctor.
“He wasn’t sure he could carry on being a singer because he was so fed up with being let down by people. He was broken.
“Success as a singer means everything to Danyl. Coming in the bottom two in the X Factor last week will have been shattering. He isn’t the cocky, over-confident person he has been portrayed as.
“The truth is he is extremely loving, caring and sensitive, and all he wants is to be a star.”

If he couldn’t cope with a boy band he was in that hadn’t even made it yet breaking up then perhaps he should give up the music business. Plus he phoned up and said he’d had a nervous breakdown anyone could say that, teaching is a strange profession to be in if you have problems coping with stress and nerves. Sorry it all stinks of sympathy vote and lets feel sorry for Danyl, wonder who was the one that wanted all the lead roles. If his nerves are that bad he should give up, all these sympathy stories have the opposite affect on me and I would be less likely to vote for someone who resorts to feeling sorry for themselve. Strange this story did not come out till now.
I feel sorry for him. I think he is a good guy. He doesnt deserve to be treated like that.
He deserves a break, he is a great singer and he is not a cocky person.
Why do people attack other people like this? Why do people feel threatened by people with talent? Let the poor boy live! He just wants to be successful in his singing career. Why intrude in his personal life? Who cares?
Yesterday night was a disappointment. Whatever the reason I felt he did not give his best performance knowingly.

Yes, it must have been terrible for the poor little lamb. What a terrible ordeal…being part of a boy band and then having it break up!! It is a miracle that he was able to go on at all!
Well, he managed to get through another week on the back of his worst performance yet. Let’s hope he has a chance to improve next week.
Danyl, you’re fantastic! Don’t listen to the negative criticism. You are soooo good and will go far.
