X Factor: Danyl Johnson threatened to quit over Wham song
Simon Cowell thought he had gotten rid of his fiesty singer when Jamie Archer left the competition. No more fights over song choices, no more manly rows, in steps Danyl Johnson.
Danyl is said to have ‘erupted in fury’ yesterday over his Wham! song choice. Simon gave him George Michael’s ‘Praying For Time’ but Dan fled his vocal session with Yvie Burnett shouting, ‘Come on, this song isn’t working…I hate this song.’
Danyl ran down Battersea High Street and an insider said:
‘A few production staff chased after him to try and calm him down and make him come back but he was having none of it.’
‘They even sent a car to follow him and try to make him see sense and return to the rehearsal but he refused. He seems very angry and upset and is demanding a different song. It’ll be interesting to see whether Simon Cowell agrees that the choice needs to change, or makes him stick with it’, the source told the Daily Mirror.
Dan is now said to be in “crisis talks” with Simon over the song issue. “Danyl is not going to win himself any fans with stunts like this, which just make him look like a spoilt brat,” adds the source. “Even if the song choice is wrong, there’s no need to storm out, he should talk about it first.”

I have no time for danyl at all. You can’t just storm out because things aren’t going the way you want them to. He has been sheltered for too long
Danyl shows his true colors again. An unjustifiably arrogant guy who has an average voice and above average screaming ability to yell at the end of songs. It’ll be interesting to hear how his fans try to spin this story. Of course they are likely to question the validity of the report despite the fact that they readily accept negative stories about other contestants.
It is time for Danyl to disappear from the public consciousness forever.
I want to see Danyl dance!
Danyl is by far the best singer in the show. Why shold he have to have his song choice change to suit other contestants. He must be under great presure every week as he only wants to give it his best.
Danyl’s fans will still be voting he must win.

Jamie had tiffs with Simon- OK. Danyl – wow big massive reports!
Jamie said Danyl was an OK bloke and a good friend, Miss
Frank siad he was very humble as a person. Dermot said that he
was always very humble. They should know they have lived and worked
with him. Newspapers assume, what they don’t know- they make
up – always has been always will. Sadly, we play into
their hands and we are like muppets believeing every word

Sadly, newpapers can;t give everyone the same treatment
