X Factor contestant Diana Vickers has been told to tone down her quirky squeaky singing habits by vocal coach, Yvie Burnett.
Burnett revealed that she has asked Diana to reel her voice in a bit in future performances on the show.
“I wouldn’t ever take it away but I tell her not to yelp too often,” Burnett told the Daily Record. “It’s her style. I don’t want to take it away because she wouldn’t sound like Diana.
“But we put it in here and there and don’t do it all the time. In vocal coaching, you do enough of something – you don’t put it into overkill.”

Good advice – Diana is a one-trick pony, and her croaky squeaky voice is the trick. Still don’t see her achieving world domination if it is rigged so that she wins though – a definite one-hit wonder
Diana is haunting and mesmerizing and sweet, and totally
unique. And very pretty.
I hope she gets a recording contract very soon.
