X Factor: Did Alan Turner Lie?

Is anyone else finding this recent story about X Factor hopeful, Alan Turner more than a little confusing.

First Alan appeared on the show last Saturday, crying, speaking about his life in foster care and begging his real parents to get in touch. Then this weekend, Alan’s father spoke out and claimed that Alan has always known him and called him dad and claimed that he was brought up by his grandmother and not a foster parent.

Now in another twist Alan has spoken out today claiming that he is not a fake, yet failing to clarify who he was brought up by.

The X Factor team have released a statement saying:

“Alan categorically denies that he has made up any story regarding his upbringing and refutes the claims which have been made. Alan has at no point apologised to producers and his position in the show has never been in jeopardy. Unfortunately in telling what is a very complicated story about Alan’s family life, some confusion and doubt has been raised about Alan’s relationship with his biological parents which is unfortunate.”

So who is telling the truth here? Can you decide?

    His father is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying that he was brought up from the age of 4 by His mother’s foster parent. This is the grandmother that has been referred to…

    this is all a load of old **** if you ask me.. i heard he doesn’t get through boot camp…thank god..why does everyone care so much about someone with very little singing ability? go on alan…back to the call centers with you..leave it to the pro’s! :)

    I couldn’t be arsed and that’s being blunt. If the show allows these sob stories to continue then it will be stooping to some new lows. Send him home I say as a time waster.

    Steph, get a life. What would you know. I just watched the xfactor tonight and he got through, he will be going to barbados to Simons house. I for one hope that he gets through to the live show. You cannot be sure whether they are lies or they are not the press can twist things. Go Alan!!!!
