X Factor: Edith Bowman wants to see Rebecca Ferguson move!

Edith Bowman has admitted that she loves listening to Rebecca Ferguson sing but speculated that her voice may not be enough on it’s own, to help her win The X Factor.

The radio DJ was chatting to Konnie Huq on The Xtra Factor when she confessed that she’d like to see the Liverpool mum of two move a little. When asked who her favourite contestant is, she said:

I love Rebecca but I just want to see her move. She said she likes having fun but I haven’t seen that yet. You can have sophistication but be sexy and move around. She just feels like she’s got an X and she’s standing on it.

On the topic of Rebecca, Neighbours star Alan Fletcher added:

It’s all about passion. When you watch a great performance, of course someone has to be a good singer but it’s the performance that matters.

The actor also confessed that he is backing 27 year old Matt Cardle to win in two weeks time. Alan said:

For me it’s Matt, he sings a lot of different styles, he’s a great technician, he’s got a great falsetto he gets you with the voice and I believe in him in his songs.

Agreed! Last night Rebecca’s performance with the mic in front of her face was so distracting! I want to see her dance or something, she says she wants to show her fun side off, but singing rock songs in a ballad-eqsue stance isn’t doing it for me. Come on Cheryl, do something else! Unless you’re trying to get rid of her so Cher can win.

The only move that Rebecca makes when singing is she raises her left hand and spreads her fingers!!!!

It’s time Rebecca put aside her nervousness and shake her booty or even move to the beat. Now is not the time to hide behind shyness, if she wants to win this competition. When Leona competed, despite being shy, she moved across the floor. This girl needs to show more emotion and it seems Cheryl doesn’t quite know how to handle a singer of her caliber.

Tbh, although it would be nice to see Rebecca project herself physically a little more, she has a fantastic voice; the joke is that the guests performers rarely even sing live, and when they do they seem to sound terrible. I think Cheryl has been a useless mentor to Rebecca and has been lazy with her, assuming she’ll cruise through each week, and been focusing more on the other bratt she has left.

I completely agree. I feel that if she moves more and shows more passion she will definitely win
