Eoghan Quigg  has denied rumours that he’s dating fellow X Factor singer Diana Vickers.

The 16 year old did say that the couple are “close” but he insisted that there’s no question of a romance between them.

"I know there has been speculation about us," he told The Mirror.

"She’s the most attractive girl in the house for me but there isn’t anything like that going on. She’s my best friend in the competition."

Eoghan also said that he’s enjoying the attention he gets from his mentor Simon Cowell now that he’s Simon’s only remaining act.

"The fact that I’m the only one of Simon’s acts left in the X Factor is helping me a lot. All his attention has turned towards me instead of it being shared three ways," he said.
