Charlie Brown has admitted that his recent studio session with X Factor star Misha B was an amazing experience.

The ‘On My Way’ hitmaker recorded an alternative version of his new single ‘Floodgates’ with the powerhouse vocalist and the bonus track will be released on the same day as the original, 21st July.

Floodgates is the second single from his forthcoming album which is due in September and speaking to Unreality TV, Brown revealed that Misha showcased a whole different side to her voice and her vocal ability when recording ‘Floodgates part 2′ recently.

He told us:

“It was amazing, she is a great singer and I’m actually really glad we did Floodgates PT 2 as I’ve never heard her sing like that before.”

Charlie added:

“A couple of friends I’ve played it to didn’t even know she could sing like that, so it’s good for her and it’s really good for me.”

The singer songwriter – who toured with N Dubz star Dappy last year – thinks Misha is a shining example of how reality TV shows such as The X Factor can occasionally be good for the music industry and continued:

“I’m glad we did it, she’s great and she works so hard, she’s really on point in the studio, we wrote it together and performed it together. She’s great and she’s a really positive example of why shows like [The X Factor] can work”.

Praise is nice, but not getting an e-mail telling me my order for two copies of Misha B could not be delivered as the product was not available would have been nicer. Even nicer would be the facts, but Misha B is skipping round the questions. One, Jahmene, goes up while another one, Misha B, goes down? Is a massive bad surprise on the way? I fear I know the answer…
