X Factor Faces Trouble For Blurring Mobile Phones!

X Factor are facing some trouble with Television watchdogs OFCOM after blurring Sharon Osbournes pink Motorolla Razr on a recent show.

The X Factor, which is sponsored by Nokia, prominently displayed Louis Walsh’s Nokia phone on screen, but when the time came to show Sharon chatting on her mobile, it was blurred beyond recognition.

This is despite Ofcom rules that programmes must not be “distorted for commercial purposes” by sponsors.

One show insider said: “Nokia has tried everything. She won’t budge.”

A spokeswoman for the show said: “We are aware of all regulations and work within them.”

Nokia, whose deal is worth £10million, said: “All the mobiles in the programme are used at the owners’ choice.”

  1. Dawn Blake says:

As OFCOM doesnt really have much power over anything and Nokia is spending 10million pounds on the programme.

They will continue to blot out sharon’s phone, I would if I was Nokia.

  2. Mark Peters says:

If you watch the show during the auditions, the kids mainly all use the Sony Ericsson and most of them are W800i which are very noticeable since they are “orange” and “white” and they are clearly in shot.

I don’t see Nokia having a go at anyone about that….I dunno!!
