Joe McElderry got the shock of his life last week, when he found two teenage girls hiding out in his car.

The X Factor winner had been performing at the sell out Aberdeen concert and the girls, in a desperate bid to meet him, had distracted his driver and hid inside the car for three hours before Joe got in.

A source told The Mirror:

“The girls were desperate for a photo and a hug from Joe. They hung around backstage then decided it was time for desperate measures.

“They found the 4×4 chauffeur-driven car Joe’s been allocated for the tour, and after distracting the driver they hid in the back.. for three hours.

“Joe had a few drinks with the tour crew before getting into the car. Fifteen minutes into the journey, he heard this sniggering. He looked behind him and saw these girls. He was stunned – not to mention a little freaked out.”

Ever the gentleman, Joe allowed the girls to escort him back to the hotel where he signed some autographs and then ensured that they got home safely.
