One Direction are not short of female fans, or marriage proposals either it would seem.

The boys are currently promoting their new debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful – released today – and admitted that as they tour the country and regional radio stations, they are constantly asked to marry awaiting admirers.

Liam Payne told The Daily Star:

“The fans are insane. We get a marriage proposal pretty much every day. No one has turned up in a wedding dress with handcuffs yet but you never know.”

Niall Horan, 17, added: “One mum was with her daughter but whispered to me, ‘If you are looking for an older woman, then just give me a shout’.”

All the propositions have prompted One Direction’s management to get concerned and chat with the boys about their behaviour and their love life. Liam added:

“We sometimes get the daddy talk of the birds and the bees by management. But were are just your normal teenage lads.

It is claimed that Liam is the only member of the band with a girlfriend, but he refuses to talk about his secret nine month old relationship, saying he’d prefer to keep it all private. Payne added:

“This is our job but we still have a private life too. You don’t want it to be everyone else’s business, you want it to be your own.”
