In one of the better themes to be devised by producers, the 12 X Factor finalists will this week take on number one chart hits for their first live show.

Brian Friedman, the shows creative director is said to be working with all the acts in order to make the show as spectacular as possible and hopefully beat Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings battle.

An ITV source said: “Brian and the others are determined to make a the show number one so it’s apt that the songs are all chart toppers this week.”

Rihanna’s Umbrella is one of the former Number One hits thought to be among those performed – by girl band Hope.
