X Factor girl band Hope have been rocked by in-fighting and arguments over the last week insiders claim.

The girls are said to be sleeping in separate rooms after band member Charlie Mole claimed that Leah Lauder is the “wrong look for the band.”

A source told The People: “Suddenly Charlie lost it, blaming Leah for harming their chances of winning. She said she looked like the odd one out because she was fatter than the rest of them. It was really hurtful to Leah.”

Leah was on the verge of quitting the show following the confrontation, but she was eventually persuaded to stay by producers.

“It was touch and go. Producers spent hours trying to talk them down. There was a lot of shouting and tears,” the insider explained. “Leah eventually agreed to stay but the situation is highly volatile. She and Charlie no longer speak except when necessary in rehearsals. The producers have had to split them up so they are sleeping in different bedrooms. “
