X Factor girl band Hope have taken on music moghul Simon Cowell and won!

The group complained about their costumes, clingy metallic jumpsuits and Simon’s song choice for them, and Simon surprisingly agreed to let the girls choose their own outfits and song for one week only.

Instead of singing a dated Supremes number, the group will now take on Christina Aguilera’s Hurt.

A show insider told The Sun: “It’s amazing that Simon backed down — that never normally happens. Hope have a lot of girl power going on.”

“Acts are never allowed to style themselves normally. They don’t necessarily know what works on TV. But Simon agreed their jumpsuits weren’t great last week.

“He trusts Hope so he’s told them they can choose — for one week only — and see how it goes.”
