X Factor contestant Jamie Afro was worried that he wouldn’t make the X Factor final 12, after he agreed to let the shows stylists trim his locks.

Jamie had reportedly avoided cutting his hair for a full decade, before his makeover last month.

A pal of the singer told The Mirror: “Jamie is very proud of his hair. It really is his trademark and sets him apart from anyone else on the show.

They’ve taken off a good few inches.” A show insider said: “We just thought it could do with a tidy up. His fans have nothing to fear – he’s lost none of his charm.”
