X Factor: Is Rhydian Roberts Being Stitched Up?
Team Rhydian, the family and friends of X Factor finalist Rhydian Roberts, have expressed concern over how he is being portrayed by the producers of the show.
Rhydian’s tutor Michael Barry, who has taught Rhydian for four years, told The Daily Star: “Rhydian feels he has been stitched up by the producers and says they have orchestrated it to make him look bonkers.
“He thinks producers have dyed his hair, covered him in pale make-up and dressed him up to make him stand out.”
In fairness to the X Factor team, the alternative look and crazy persona do seem to appeal to the British public. Rhydian has been a consistent hit, week on week, with both the judges and the public. Does a new hair colour and some white make up really matter, if it is keeping Rhydian in the show for as long as possible. If he wants to make it on the West End he needs as much exposure as he can get. Dying his hair, really isn’t that big a deal.

The ‘bonkers/nutter’ angle does seem to play well with the public but as Rhydian hardly has a versatile voice it’s a canny ploy to keep him in until the final few weeks.The ’script writers’ should get a bigger mention though.They probably plan to humiliate him and that his ego is seemingly not so big that he can actually see that maybe shows a smidgen of humility hidden deep inside the man (or vanity, I can’t decide which).

Maybe there is a stitch up planned, but surely Rhydian must be a willing pawn. He is not a shy man now is he?

Rydian is already a STAR and doesnt need to win, though I am absolutely sure he will! His charisma,talent,and lovely personality have won the public as well as the judges. Love him!

Rydian is truly world class performer and singer. We will see him for many years to come and if he does not win this then some company like Sony Music will sign him up within seconds. There is no way this young extremely talented lad from Wales will starve. I am sure he will win. Rydian has lasting power and boy there are few people in the business with that.
