X Factor: Joe McElderry wants to collaborate with Ryan Tedder
X Factor winner Joe McElderry has revealed that he wants to follow in the footsteps of Leona Lewis and work with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic on his debut album.
Tedder has previously worked with Jordin Sparks, Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson and penned hit such as ‘Halo’ and ‘Bleeding Love’.
McElderry says: “I would love Simon to put me with Ryan Tedder for my album’s ballads because he is an amazing songwriter.”
On his debut album he told the Daily Star: “There are meetings about it now. The plan is for my album to come out after the tour.
“It’s going to be similar to what they’ve done for the past couple of years so it gives you time to do it.”
“I’m going to try and break the curse of the male X Factor winner.”
