The mother of X Factor singer Joe McElderry has revealed that she is planning to officially change her name to ‘Vote For Joe.’

As of tomorrow the 47 year old from South Shields will no longer be Eileen Joyce, but instead known as ‘Vote For Joe.’

Eileen told Real Radio: “Yes, I’ll be changing my name on Thursday.”

The radio station is also asking fans to follow in Eileen’s footsteps and are mounting a world record attempt for the amount of people to change their name to the same name.
