X Factor: John and Edward Grimes were bullied at school
X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes have admitted that they were forced to leave an elite Irish boarding school, after they faced 4 years of bullying hell.
The teenage twins say that pupils, particularly other boys, disliked them for being different and sticking out from the crowd.
John told The Sunday Mirror: “Everyone experiences tough times in their lives and we’re no different. I think a lot if people will be able to relate to what we went through.
“There were a lot of mean people around us at school. It could be verbal, mental or physical. I think it was because we stuck out a lot.
“We always wanted to do things that were different. It marked us out to bullies. People would say, ‘Why are you two doing that?’
“But we were just trying to live our dream. We always did things people never did.
“Guys were jealous of us because we were able to talk to all the pretty girls and they didn’t know what to say to them.
“Some girls weren’t that nice either, though.”
Edward said: “We were there for four years and eventually we changed schools when we were 12 because it got too bad.
“It was kind of hard because we didn’t know what was happening to us but we always knew there was nothing wrong with us.
“We knew we always had each other and we stuck to our core values to get through it. It helped that I had my brother there.”

It’s Kinda lousy that people are insulting them so much but with out a huge performance john and edward aren’t that good.
He come the sob stories, are they frightened their popularity might be waning so need the sympathy vote now. The reason people didn’t like them is probably because they are annoying and cocky and if they were like that then it’s no surprise. They left the school at 12yrs old but are talking about they were bullied for 4 years because they were different and knew how to talk to the girls and the others didn’t, what big heads they were only between 8yrs and 12yrs old girls are just girls at that age not omething to be scared off.

whats the difference between what happened to them at school and what the show is doing to them now? They are being bullied again for trusting in a show and the judges and then being used as a running joke for the show to make money.
These kids seem nice and polite and trusted the show was credible bt instead they are being used for ratings and punching bag for the public and the judges.
Not sure this is true. Check out kings hospital schhol website- hill walking and drama and you will find photos of the boys doing the 4 peaks with the school in March 2008 and appearing in school production of Tommy in February 2008. They were 16 then and clearly still at the school.
i went to the kings hospital school with the twins and they weren’t bullied in the kings hospital! and they left in 4th year (year 10)
theses boys r terrible singers!!! BUT…… they are great at making you laugh!!! THEY ARE SSSOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!………..I LOVE WHEN THEY DID “OPPS I DID IT AGAIN” THAT WAS REALLY!!!! REALLY!!!!!!! FUNNY..
