X Factor contestant Kerry McGregor is struggling with the decision to move to London to take part in the X Factor bootcamp. Making it so difficult to leave are Kerry’s son, 17 month old Joshua and the tot’s dad Dean Robertson, who she lives with in Pumpherston, West Lothian.

A pal said: “It’s always been Kerry’s dream to be a famous singer and she has never let her disability get in her way.

“It’ll be tough for her to leave little Joshua, but she knows that her family are backing her all the way. Kerry’s been given a huge opportunity and she has to grab it with both hands.”

Her boyfriend and mum Margaret, 56, have told her they’ll do all they can to help her realise her dream after a string of near-misses.

A show insider revealed: “Kerry’s caused a real stir backstage. She’s got a great voice and has confidence and a positive attitude.

“She also has an amazing story. She’s triumphed over adversity and shown amazing courage not to let her disability get in her way.”
