Pop singer, Kylie Minogue has spoken out in defence of her sister Dannii Minogue, following her controversial comments to Danyl Johnson on X Factor.

Kylie wrote on her Twitter page: “Just off the phone with my little sis, both she and Danyl are surprised by how much unnecessary attention her innocent comment has garnered.”

Dannii made a full apology on last night’s X Factor show and insisted that her comments were meant in jest. Fans of the show don’t seem so convinced.

Well its either the X-Factor or Songs of Praise said the vastly overrated and untalented Willoughby. So I turned it over to the snooker-which was slightly better than her and the equally untalented Irish “song” dou.

I think she was still tense from the way that Simon spoke to her and Cheryl earlier and the comment she was making came out wrong. Also it was referring to an earlier conversation between her and Danyl and we didn’t fully understand. I do not think she was intentionally offensive and she looked embarrased after saying it as if she knew it had come across right.

What exactly did she say? Does anyone know?

Danyl sang the Jennifer Hudson ‘Dreamgirls’ show tune ‘And I Am Telling You’. Dannii’s completely inappropriate comment referred to the gender change to the lyric. “Changing a girls song into a guys song but if we are to believe everything we read in the paper maybe you didn’t need to change the gender reference in it,” she said.

Simon Cowell was gobsmacked. “What did you say? What did you say? What did you say’, he fumed to which Dannii then foolishly repeated her out of place statement.

The audience went quiet, she turned to them and said, “no, don’t believe it”.
