The X Factor is hurtling towards its grand finale and this weekend we have quite the treat ahead.
On Sunday evening, not long after he confirmed that Honey G was leaving the competition, Dermot O’Leary also revealed the lineup for this Sunday’s show.
The semi finals take place on Saturday night and one unlucky act will be sent home just 24 hours later, missing out on the chance to sing in the grand finale.
That loss might be made better by the fact that they will hopefully get to meet one of pop music’s biggest superstars. Lady Gaga has been confirmed for the penultimate results show.
Also singing during the Christmas themed weekend is Zara Larsson, who will be on the ITV stage to showcase her new single.
5 After Midnight, Emily Middlemas, Saara Aalto and Matt Terry are all competition this weekend, with bookies backing the first two acts as the most likely to leave.
Saara has managed to make X Factor history and has become the first act to be in the bottom two in week one, yet make it as far as the semi final. “I think it proves everything is possible,” Saara told the Daily Express this week, adding: “That’s my motto. I believe everything is possible and you can turn everything around.”
“This proves that anything can happen, miracles can happen. I’m so happy and grateful for everyone who has supported me and helped me get this far.”
But can Saara win the entire competition? We aren’t sure. Matt Terry has seemed to have the whole thing in the bag since week one. Bookies have been tipping him to win since the bootcamp stages and he looks pretty difficult to beat.
