X Factor finalists are said to be fuming after it emerged that fellow contestant Laura White has been dating a show exec for MONTHS!
The Sun have exposed Laura and her partner, Mathew Firsht who has strong links with show judges as his company ‘The Applause Store’ organises audiences for the audition rounds and live shows. Matthew also acts as warm up man during the Big Brother live shows, filling the gaps between Davina’s time on stage.
A source told The Sun: “Laura has done her best to keep this a secret as she knows it looks a bit suspect.
“But some people have found out and have been bitching about it.”
The source added: “Mathew is always backstage with them.” He is said to regularly be seen on set wearing headphones, and often chats with the judges backstage.
A pal of the pair revealed: “Mathew and Laura’s family get on really well. They went out for a meal and it was all very jolly. Mathew is obviously besotted by her. He really thinks she’ll be a massive star.”
An X Factor spokeswoman stated: “Laura’s personal relationship with Mathew has no bearing on her place in the competition.”
I personally doubt that Matthew has any say over who wins the show, I don’t think he has that much sway. But as a man who often works backstage on most of the major UK reality TV shows he is bound to have some inside information and tips that may help Laura win. This does seem a tad unfair and if Laura didn’t think there was a problem with them being a couple then surely it wouldn’t have been such a big secret. What do you think? This girl is on that stage purely on merit. Who was better than her? Who’s place did she’steal’? She’s gonna be a star and with a voice like that why not.
The only difference he can make to the process is to spend his millions on phone calls voting for her.
Mathew Firsht has an office a bit like a call centre so will spend his millions on phone votes plus he meet her at Britains got talent where he made her sing for the audience and has been dating her since march. I really don’t think this is fair as it is upsetting all the other contestants her and her family have been lying for months because they know they are in the wrong to top it all have been driving around in a silver car with vote for Laura from x factor splashed all over it this is so unfair, she has broken the rules and should leave the competition, after last nights performance I thought others like Ruth Diana and Rachael were much better and they have no former singing experience/training Laura has been singing in clubs for a few years I think she should leave next week Bye Laura!!

…Believe me Matthew has NO say in how the show is run .Applause simply put bums on seats for the audience. It is being blown out of proportion. He would never jepordise his contract with Fremantle if he had to choose…….
I’m not sure about him having any say in how the show is run but its still not fair if the rest of the contestants are getting upset about it. And if there was no problem why did she and her family hav to keep it a asecret. And for what other raesons would she be going out with someone who is old enough to be her dad?
So what if she dating a chap who works on the show – doesn’t detract from the fact she is an excellent singer. And what’s all this about him being an “executive” – hardly!
PS Please oh please can Danni choose “Staying Alive” for Daniel to sing on this Saturday’s disco night, as I reckon it would suit him to a T!!!!!
Laura should leave next week I know she is a good singer but she has broken the rules. I’m sure she gets plenty of good advice and support from Matthew on show nights as he would have to be working there, it’s really not fair at all as far as the other contestants are concerned. I think he would better her chances of winning as he is friendly with the judges so they are more likely to say wonderful things about her(think about it)I still have no idea why a young girl like that would be interested in a man who is old enough to be her father, he is no Brad Pitt is he?? How sick!!!If that was my daughter I would prefer her to go out with some one like Leon.
What I don’t like is the fact the whole family tried to keep it a big secret because they must know it’s out of order good job they got found out. Ha!
People keep saying ‘if they thought there’s nothing wrong with it then why keep it a big secret?’ – well the answer is because they were trying to avoid stupid people bitching about them and trying to make out that she has some sort of advantage in the show like some of you are doing…
Laura has an amazing voice and her position in the show should not be jeopardised because she’s in a relationship with someone that works on the show. We all vote for her because we know she’s good. Our votes haven’t been affected by her offstage relationship and its us that chooses the winner.
Yes It is us that chooses the winner and I won’t be voting for her she is bang out of order for keeping her relationship a secret makes the whole thing look like she has something to hide.Some people don’t seem to get it it’s against the rules!! to go out with an exec!! so if it’s no big deal well let all of the talent go out with the executives on the show and see if there’s a show… it looks wrong and its not fair why should she get away with it, I really don’t think she should be allowed to continue,how do you think the others must feel when her boyfriend comes to pick her up in his car from out side the contestants house.. Bye guys I’m just off with my executive boyfriend to have a laugh and chat about the show and talk about the best way of me winning..I’m sure he must be singing her praises to the production team and judges…Yes! she has a good voice but so have all the others and there not as fortunate as her. If she wins the show it could look like a fix….
Laura should be kicked off the show – other people have been for far less. She is OBVIOUSLY using this man to further her career. It has all been done before – but not normally on shows like X-FACTOR. LAURA SHOULD BE KICKED OFF!

But the good news is she has been kicked off the shoe because every body thinks she is cheap by using this old man to further herself she don’t love him cause if she did she would of been proud to tell the world and she kept it a secret because she was ashamed and she knows she was in the wrong,so Well done Louis and Simon you both did the right thing. Simon Cowell is always right he must of realized he was flogging a dead horse… Vote for Ruth!!!

Laura is amazing and should have won.People are obsiouvly voting on looks or personality not voice.I now want Alexandra to win.She is amazing and nearly better than Leona Lewis.So everybody get behind and vote fro Alexandra!
