X Factor: Leona Lewis Takes Number One Spot For A Second Week
X Factor winner, Leona Lewis, has managed to hold on the the Number One spot for a second week running, with her debut single ‘A Moment Like This’.
Leona broke the world record the week before by having her single downloaded by avid X Factor fans 50,000 times in the first 30 minutes it became available online.
Things are looking great for Leona right now, I hope it continues. i would hate to see her go the way of Steve Brookstein……

Hello TabbyKatt,
This is really good news for Leona and the X factor team. I hope she manages to maintain staying in the range of the top ten best sellers chart for at least a good few more weeks yet, time enough to become established. Giving Leona a fighting chance of keeping her dream.
On the X factor front the programme needs to have an artist last the test of time. As so much hype and build up has been created around LEONA, if LEONA failed to last and sell and become as big as the show has predicted, there’d be little encouragement for future contestants.
So whether people like her or loathe LEONA as a singer everyone needs to get behind her.
I have always been positive about reality TV talent shows in what they can achieve marketing and promoting wise etc and the value of that package alone is totally unaffordable by any up and coming artist, hence another good reason why LEONA should be in the top ten slots over the next few weeks. This allows the record company the television company and LEONA to reap the benefits of so much advertising marketing etc, which does not come cheap.
