There was a bit of hedging, a bit of wait and see, but eventually Simon Cowell admitted today that last years X Factor winner Leona Lewis will be performing her debut single on the first X Factor 2007 live show.

When questioned about the length of time taken for Leona to release this record, Simon was adamant that this time they wanted to get it right. I suppose this was an admission of guilt, that at some time in the past, they had got it wrong….ahem, Steve Brookstein.

He ensured the public that Song BMG (the record label that signed Leona) have gone to the greatest lengths to ensure that Miss Lewis’ debut albulm is of the “highest quality.” They took their time in the making of the record and scoured the world for the best producers and writers to work with Leona on what they believe will be a massive album, worldwide.
