X Factor: Lloyd Daniels almost died from Kidey failure

16 year old Lloyd Daniels amazed the judges and audiences alike on last night’s X Factor but today he has told of a deadly condition, that almost killed him as a child.
When Lloyd was only 11 he developed an excruciating kidney blockage which left him seriously ill and bedridden for months.
He told The People: “It was a really hard time for me.
“But I was very lucky – the worst could have happened.”
He recalled:
I was at school one day and felt this awful pain in my stomach.
I was in so much agony my mum rushed me to hospital.
I spent a week there before they could find out what was wrong.
I was on all these machines and the weight was dropping off me.
The doctors finally diagnosed the condition and rushed him to surgery. Lloyd said:
I couldn’t get up or even move – it was horrible.
I had two tubes coming out of me into a bag which I had to wear on my side.
It was effectively my kidney which I had to wear for two months.
It wasn’t all bad though, Lloyd got to take six months off school to recover. Now he is keen to move on and is already thinking about the effect the X Factor could have on his life.
He joked:
I can’t wait for the female attention – but Cheryl’s the hottest.
Since I’ve joined X Factor everything has been looking up for me and my family. I’m having the time of my life.
